Fred's View

My grandma owns 120 acres of untouched wilderness on an old farm property in upstate New York. My mother grew up there in a big family and I am so jealous. When my uncle Fred was 12 he built a shed out of leftover scraps from a roofing project on my grandma's house which still stands today. It lies in a field of tall grass and weeds along with the remains of one of his old cars, an old tractor cart we used to take rides in, and the twisted, corroded wreckage of old farm machinery. This is the view from my grandma's backyard in winter as it has looked since I've been alive. I just like this view for its highland rustic country-ness. "True country bumpkins have their old family car up on cinderblocks in the backyard"
